Proelium is a sword fighting game that aims to replicate historical accurate sword fighting. This has been done through the close reading of a combat manual which helped to make a framework that this game was developed in.

CONTROLS

Attack - LMB

Jabs are quick taps of the button whilst holding down the LMB results in heavier and stronger attacks

Block - RMB

Equip/Unequip - E

Pause - ESC

Kick - Q

Feinting -

Feinting is done by cancelling out an attack through hitting the block button at the initial stage of the animation

Parry -

Parrying is done by blocking an attack at the right moment to stun the enemy, though you can also get stunned!

Clinch - 

A successful parry has a chance to enter the clinch, or if you get too close to your opponent when hes low on stamina, he'll engage in a clinch with you. Move the mouse left to right at the right time to have the initiative over your opponent
